Ep168: The Dankest Feastwood

Two weeks on the trot, who would have thunk it?  This week we lost a Jon but gained a Fish, so the balance of the universe is only lightly disrupted.

Games discussed this week:

  • SP: Minecraft, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, Super Stardust Ultra VR

  • FM: Trials of the Blood Dragon, Minecraft, Titanfall 2

  • BS: Titanfall 2, MWR, Gears, Thumper

• We record the show live, typically on Sundays at 8:30PM EST, but this is no way cast in stone.. at http://twitch.tv/gamepuncherspod

• Request an invite to our Slack Channel

• Subscribe on iTunes

• Most of our professional intro bumpers are performed by the amazingly talented voice artist Kathryn Haywood. She can be found, communicated-with, and booked on her website. Thank you Kathryn!

• The intro is called Breakthrough by Ben Landis, and can be found on the Adventures in Pixels album.

• The outro music, as always, is the amazing Roll With the Changes by the immortal REO Speedwagon.

• We use the track At The Sign Of The Swinging Cymbal by the John Anderson Big Band for the Charts.

Also, WIZARD!

NEWS
Rockstar has said the GTA Online patch is live for PS3. It's working to have it released for Xbox 360 "as soon as possible today".

Konami apologises for PES 2014 Xbox 360 issues - Xbox 360 owners are required to download two patches before being able to play the game online, in the form of Patch 1.01 alongside Data Pack 1.00, though many users are reporting that it is not possible to properly download the latter with the former installed.

In case you were wondering, the intro is called "Breakthrough" by Ben Landis, and can be found on the Chiptunes = Win album, along with many others that we use for the low background stuff. The outro music this week is "Roll With the Changes" by REO Speedwagon.

Oh, also we use the track "At The Sign Of The Swinging Cymbal" by the John Anderson Big Band for the NPD Top 10's

Ep40: Star Wars Machete Order

First off, apologies for the background hum noise on this episode... must be magnets or the government. Anyway, we somehow manage to cram about 300 different topics into just over an hour's worth of podcast -- Shriners, Water Country USA, the optimum sequence to watch the Star Wars saga, Microsoft's PR battle, Don Mattrick's highly lucrative move to Zynga as its new CEO, and Sony's E3 pandering...  I've no idea how the show formed this way... it happened. It just happened... emergent podplay and all that.

Oh, here's the link to the alternate Star Wars viewing order Steve talks about this week: Star Wars Machete Order

This week we cover such marvelous games as Octodad, Walking Dead: 400 Days, Rust, Minecraft, The Last of Us, and Witcher 2

Some of the Jedi masters among you may have noticed that we've gone back to the original music, and so... much groceries to Darren Korb over at SuperGiant Games for granting us permission to use the whole Bastion Soundtrack for the musical accompaniment. You are the wind beneath our hotwings.

You can buy the album here.

Anyway, we hope you enjoy this. Also, if you have the time, leave us a comment and let us know you're listening.

Cheers!

Ep5: SkyrimSkyrimSkyrim

Ep5: SkyrimSkyrimSkyrim

Kat is sickeningly in love with Skyrim, which of course is an abomination and a blight on all good, decent church-going folk. As I sit here in my assless, boiled greaves, blazed out of my mind on Nirnroot and cupping a Draugr's balls, I can only imagine the kinds of disgusted looks she must get when whispering of her deviant, forbidden love in public.

Ep3: Games of Our Lives

Guess what - we done made another one. In the 3rd episode of GamePunchers Kat and Steve compensate for having very little to discuss during the "What have you been playing?" segment, by waxing rhapsodic about the various games and gaming memories they have collected and cherished throughout their lives as gamers.

Ep2: The Fall\Winter Playlist

In the words of Queen, 'Jaws was never my scene and I don't like Star Wars'. But, even though it's as true today as it ever was, it is completely unrelated to this next fact: We recorded episode 2 of GamePunchers for your absolute entertainment this evening.
