Here’s part 2, folks.

Ep196 a: The Last of Us Part II Spoilercast Part I

Absolutely stolen from Reddit

Absolutely stolen from Reddit

Hi there, muscly arms.

This one’s a long one, folks; clocking in at about 3 hours, that I had to chop into 2 parts. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

You should know in advance that Jon will walk us through the entire campaign, covering almost every bullet collected and every yard of road walked… It’s probably the most comprehensive spoilercast out there just for this reason.

Fraser doens’t have a PS4, so there’s nobody keeping us in check on this one. Apologies and “you’re welcome”’s in advance…

Ep145: Twofer

Two episodes in one week?! Sure, it’s just because we’re behind… you say potato we say deal with it! Seriously though, we appreciate the patience and understanding. Sometimes life happens, but so do video games!

This week Jon and Steve continue the informal format, catch up, and discuss vidjagames like gentlemen.

Games discussed this week:

SP: Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

JL: Uncharted, Last of Us, Game of Thrones, Murdered Soul Suspect

DON'T FORGET YOU CAN CHAT WITH US AND LISTEN TO THE SHOW LIVE ON WEDNESDAYS AT 9:30pm (usually) EASTERN TIME ON http://twitch.tv/gamepuncherspod

In case you were wondering, the intro is called "Breakthrough" by Ben Landis, and can be found on the Chiptunes = Win album.

Most times, our professional intro bumpers are performed by the amazingly talented voice artist Kathryn Haywood, and she can be found, communicated-with, and booked on her website. Thank you Kathryn!

Oh, also we use the track "At The Sign Of The Swinging Cymbal" by the John Anderson Big Band for the NPD Top 10

Ep96: Destiny Eve

Fraser is gone. Jon is gone. Don't be alarmed, though, because superfan Wyatt May joins Steve to talk about Destiny a lot, and other such things of gaming flavor.

Now, full disclosure before continuing, We had a couple of sound issues crop up during the recording of this week's episode... namely some sweet church-style echoing on the voices, and a little blip that lost the last 15 minutes or so of the show. We do work around it like pros, but just be aware that it's in there.

Games discussed this week include:

SP - Last of Us: Multiplayer, Minecraft PS4, Super Mario 3D World
Wyatt May - infamous first light, plants vs zombies, last of us remastered, sports and friends, mario kart 8

Ep95: In Which Australia Goes Back to its Chaz Wazzers

Stop asking for podcasts. Do you want a podcast? Because that's how you get podcasts.

The Nephalem Triumvirate returns after a week and a half of stewing in real life things. Steve has the voice of an angel now, thanks to his throat replacement surgery, Fraser completely fucks up the quiz, and John pretends he did't shout at someone for not taking out the trash while recording. It's all here, folks. Whatever it is, it's all here.

Games discussed this week include:
SP - Diablo 3 (PS4), Last of Us: Left Behind, TLOU Multiplayer, Walking Dead S2E4
JL - Star Wars Commander (iOS), Commando Jack, WD s2ep5

Ep94: Panther McPanther From Weasel Gulch

The stars have aligned themselves in such a fashion, as to allow the power of three to triumph. Mightily.  We welcome the return of Steve, cover some Gamescom stuff, bluff our way through some charts and round off with a quiz.

Ep73: The Streisand Effect

Jon is out this week with the Benz, but check this out:

The Streisand effect is the phenomenon whereby an attempt to hide, remove, or censor a piece of information has the unintended consequence of publicizing the information more widely, usually facilitated by the Internet.

It is named after American entertainer Barbra Streisand, whose attempt in 2003 to suppress photographs of her residence in Malibu, California, inadvertently generated further publicity.

Games discussed this week include Rayman Legends, Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare, Xcom Enemy Within, Threes!, Day One Garry’s Incident, Hexcells, Badland, Word Mage, Last of Us, Rust!

Ep71: Winterlude :(

Yes, it's a shitty portmanteau... blame Canada. Anyway, this week Steve and Fraser have a chit chat about games and stuff. Jon was unavailable this week, which is understandable since he must remain in the hyperbolic chamber for several years after living under the ocean all his life.

Games discussed this week include Rust, The Last of Us, Jazzpunk, QatQ, The Lego Movie Videogame, Outlast, Broken Age, Dead Rising 3

Ep70: The Last of Rust

gamepunchers_EP70_rust_wallpaper_header.jpg

Steve is out sick this week with boneitis, so it's up to Jon and Fraser to fill the Steve-shaped hole with stories of video games and Lando Calrissian*.

Games discussed this week include: Blood Dragon, Saturday Morning RPG, Guacamelee, Rust, The Last of Us...

*May not actually contain discussion on Lando Calrissian.

Ep40: Star Wars Machete Order

First off, apologies for the background hum noise on this episode... must be magnets or the government. Anyway, we somehow manage to cram about 300 different topics into just over an hour's worth of podcast -- Shriners, Water Country USA, the optimum sequence to watch the Star Wars saga, Microsoft's PR battle, Don Mattrick's highly lucrative move to Zynga as its new CEO, and Sony's E3 pandering...  I've no idea how the show formed this way... it happened. It just happened... emergent podplay and all that.

Oh, here's the link to the alternate Star Wars viewing order Steve talks about this week: Star Wars Machete Order

This week we cover such marvelous games as Octodad, Walking Dead: 400 Days, Rust, Minecraft, The Last of Us, and Witcher 2

Some of the Jedi masters among you may have noticed that we've gone back to the original music, and so... much groceries to Darren Korb over at SuperGiant Games for granting us permission to use the whole Bastion Soundtrack for the musical accompaniment. You are the wind beneath our hotwings.

You can buy the album here.

Anyway, we hope you enjoy this. Also, if you have the time, leave us a comment and let us know you're listening.

Cheers!

Ep38: Jackmerius Tacktheratrix

This week we poke at the remains of Microsoft's disasterful E3 showing, highlighting the physical awkwardness of Don Mattrick's "here's the console' PR photo.

Also, Steve talks incessantly about The Last of Us, and Jon nerds all over the iOS release of XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

Games covered this week are XCOM: Enemy Unknown (iOS) and The Last of Us, and a few other things.
