Games of the Generation 2020 (part 2)

Rope-Man Edition

PART 2 of 2

Like Cicada Brood X, the GamePunchers Games of the Generation show has once again emerged from the soil of its 7-year slumber, crawled up a tree, and screamed for two weeks before fallen off dying.

SEVEN. Seven actual years.

This one’s a fat boy, weighing it at just over 3 hours. Jon, Fraser and Steve start with a list of 100+ games and painfully whittle them down to a mere 10.

Tears are shed, prostates are enlarged, fights ensue, shields are broken. A sore day. A red day… Ere the sun rises!

Ep161: Pre3 2016

Ep161: Pre3 2016

Folks, it's that time of year again. With E3 upon us, we bestow our annual Summer mainstay of joining forces with the Bullshot guys to chat about what's to come for this year's event. Ok, really we were just joined by Plachy. Fish belongs to both camps, and Jon and Dave both had to bow out just before kickoff, called to arms for family-man duties.

Anywho, fire this one up and see what Steve, Fraser, Fish, and Plachy have to say about what this year's E3 is shaping up to be. Please pardon any audio quality issues, we used audio straight from Skype for this ep.

Ep138: Besides People

We can count! Yes, if you've listened to the past couple of episodes, this is the one the world forgot for a few weeks. Life happens, amirite? Probably...

Anyway, this episode is sans Fraser because his father was in town. No shower simulations were involved. Steve, Fish, and Jon talk about games, like they do. You know the drill. Start the thing!

Ep40: Star Wars Machete Order

First off, apologies for the background hum noise on this episode... must be magnets or the government. Anyway, we somehow manage to cram about 300 different topics into just over an hour's worth of podcast -- Shriners, Water Country USA, the optimum sequence to watch the Star Wars saga, Microsoft's PR battle, Don Mattrick's highly lucrative move to Zynga as its new CEO, and Sony's E3 pandering...  I've no idea how the show formed this way... it happened. It just happened... emergent podplay and all that.

Oh, here's the link to the alternate Star Wars viewing order Steve talks about this week: Star Wars Machete Order

This week we cover such marvelous games as Octodad, Walking Dead: 400 Days, Rust, Minecraft, The Last of Us, and Witcher 2

Some of the Jedi masters among you may have noticed that we've gone back to the original music, and so... much groceries to Darren Korb over at SuperGiant Games for granting us permission to use the whole Bastion Soundtrack for the musical accompaniment. You are the wind beneath our hotwings.

You can buy the album here.

Anyway, we hope you enjoy this. Also, if you have the time, leave us a comment and let us know you're listening.

Cheers!
