Ep25: Shim Shitty

Oh dear oh dear oh dear. This week we tackle the catastrophic Sim City launch, We discuss why EA is literally Hitler, and round it off with a listing of all the studios EA has bought, milked dry and then closed.

We also touch on The Walking Dead TV Show, Swamp Thing comics, the "Riker's Beard" moment in every serialized TV shows, and we give out a lot of really bad parenting advice.

Games discussed this week include (but are not limited to) XCOM, Real Racing (iOS), Sim City, the God of War: Ascension demo (as well as the God of War franchise as a whole), and Organ Trail (iOS).

A lot of downright grumbling and complaining in this one, but it's probably worth it, so you should still listen anyway.

In case you were wondering, the intro is called "Breakthrough" by Ben Landis, and can be found on the Chiptunes = Win album, along with many others that I use for the low background stuff.

The outro music is called "Hexapod" by the incredible BLAZAR.

Ep24: Screw Raiding Tombs, Let's Just beat Lara With Sticks For 6 Hours

Oh knock it off. Of course we don't condone the severe and prolonged beating of gaming's favorite exploretress... we do find it distressing how willingly Crystal Dynamics throws her under the grisly bus, though. Anyway...

As a black chasm of newslessness descends on the gaming industry in wake of the PS4 announcement, we are left with fully-healed voices and absolutely nothing to say.

At least Jon played something new, namely Real Racing 3 on iOS, and the new Star Wars tables for Zen Pinball. Steve just played God of War HD and Surgeon Simulator 2013.

Thrill, as we wait for the God of War: Ascension demo to download over the PlayStation Network. Gasp, as we discuss PS3 power supply replacement, and coo as we fawn over our brand new iPad Mini's.

This is the second-shortest GamePunchers ever, so.... .....I'm not sure where that sentence was going. Enjoy?

Ep23: There Might Be a New PlayStation Coming Out

This week it's Steve's turn to sound sexy, because he lost his voice saving orphans from a terrible fire. That's nothing, though, because on Wednesday February 20th, Sony lifted their metaphorical kimono on the PlayStation 4, and everyone in the world Oooh'ed and Aaah'ed.

I think we crammed everything of import in on this one; crazy tech guy, creepy car fetish Mancunian, Media Molecule's puppetry. Jonathan Blow's hairy arms did not make the cut, unfortunately, but his new game certainly did.

As well as all this Sony balony, we discuss Year Walk for iOS, and fly off on a tangent talking about Mike Cerney and Marble Madness.

It's the longest yet, weighing in at 2hrs, 25mins, but there's a possibility it's worth it.

Ph we finally ahve an email address - if you want to chat or want to jump on the show for a minute/hour/the whole thing, let us know by sending us an email. The link is in the top right of your screen. It is GamePunchersPod@gmail.com
