Ep47: Blamescom

While Steve is away at the beach enjoying infectious mosquito bites around his feet and ankles, Jon and Fraser talk Papers Please, Blood Stone 007 , Uncharted 3 (fuck you!), and Infamous 2 (fuck you too, game!), Bioshock Infinite,Tiny Thief, Star Wars Pinball , and  World of Tanks.

We also wax gibbous about the games shown at this year's massive Gamescom convention, and as usual we've got charts and contest winners and listener questions to talk about, too.

Oh, and Fraser has also been winning tons of shit off the Overseas Connection podcast, designing a game in the process. For real.

In case you were wondering, the intro is called "Breakthrough" by Ben Landis, and can be found on the Chiptunes = Win album, along with many others that we use for the low background stuff. The outro music is called "Hexapod" by the incredible BLAZAR.

Oh, also we use the track "At The Sign Of The Swinging Cymbal" by the John Anderson Big Band for the NPD Top 10's

Ep26: Ridiculous Fishing is Ridiculous

This week Steve laments his own gaming hypocrisies and Jon steadfastly defends the despicable *woman beating simulator* known as Tomb Raider. You know, the one with no tombs in it. To be fair, he primarily supports the gameplay mechanics, and disapproves the hitting of women.

Two beefs are generated in this episode, chiefly with game IP's that shit out an additional, numberless sequel after it's story arc has already been satisfactorily closed, and an organic beef grew out of a complaint about Polygon's overly-high review scores.

We also want to thank all of you wonderful listeners (of whom we just became aware of). There are far more of you than we ever thought, and to say that this is something of a dream being realized would be pretty accurate. So for that we extend our deepest thanks.  Now would it kill you to leave us a review on iTunes? CheersThx

This week, games covered are Mark of the Ninja, Tomb Raider, Sim City,Ridiculous Fishing, God of War: Ascension, Gears of War: Judgment, Infamous 2, and Little Inferno (which frankly sounds bananas).
